Stewed Mock Meat with Bun

Ingredients

  • Bun: 8-10 pcs

  • Lettuce: 8-10 pcs

  • Coriander: Small portion

  • Yam: 8-10 pcs (1cm per pc)

  • Braised Mock Ham: 8-10 pcs (1cm per pc)

  • Water: 500ml

Seasonings

  • Sesame Oil: 2 table spoon

  • Sliced Ginger: 10g

  • Soya Sauce: 3 table spoon

  • Pepper Corn: Small portion (20 pcs)

  • Star Anise: 5 pcs

  • Cloves: 15 pcs

  • Cinnamon: 2 pcs

  • Pepper: Dash

  • Coriander Powder: 1 tea spoon

  • Five Spice Powder: 1 tea spoon

  • Mushroom Powder: 3 tea spoon

  • Vegetarian Stock: 1 table spoon

  • Sugar: 2 tea spoon

  • Vegetarian Oyster Sauce: 1 table spoon

Cooking Method

  1. Heat Wok and add in oil. Deep fry the yam and mock ham till golden brown. Remove it to drain off excess oil.

  2. Fry ginger with sesame oil, add yam, ham and all the seasonings. Stew for 20 minutes, then lower the heat and simmer for about 40 minutes till the yam is softened. Set aside.

  3. Steam the buns for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Garnish vegetarian stewed pork with lettuce, coriander and wrap bun.
